Stephen McCabe has been continuously involved in writing, editing and publications management since 1985, focusing on the equipment leasing and financial services industry, the outsourced customer support and call center industries, information technology (IT) and information services consulting, executive coaching and organizational management, and technical writing for the environmental consulting industry. Recent feature and ghostwriting assignments for SCC have appeared in the ABF Journal, Equipment Leasing Today, The Monitor Daily, North American Industry, the World Leasing Yearbook, and the National Law Journal. In addition to his work for SCC, Steve provides writing and editing support to a broad spectrum of editorial clients in the Western New York area, where he is based.
His professional experience includes managing a team of writers, graphic artists and editors for CTG, Inc., a global IT and information services firm, in Buffalo, N.Y. Prior to his tenure with CTG, he spent seven years as an associate editor and later managing editor for the publications department of Ecology & Environment, Inc., an international environmental consulting firm headquartered in Lancaster, N.Y. Steve has also held positions in copy-editing and direct mail copy-writing for a non-profit organization and teaching creative writing. He holds an M.F.A. in creative writing from the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, Va.) and a B.A. in English from Washington & Lee University (Lexington, Va.).
