News Archive May/June 2009 — The 2009 Investor Conference produced a few rays of hope, according to the article published by the Monitor in the May/June 2009 issue. Susan Carol was reporting for the equipment leasing and finance trade tabloid and noted that some in equipment financing are pinning their hopes on depository banks to increase access to funding; others were hoping TALF would be expanded and clarified in a way that would help lessors. The feature included an exclusive interview with Rick Wolfert, senior advisor of Aquiline Capital Partners, LLC. He had delivered a keynote address with sobering data that were like a splash of cold water at the annual New York City event that attracts investors, financial executives and consultants operating in the global equipment leasing and finance industry. There was considerable pessimism at this event as access to capital and liquidity diminished considerably from the year before. October 2002 — Susan Carol, president and founder of Susan Carol Associates Public Relations, Inc., was elected to a position on the service provider business council of the Equipment Leasing Association, based in Arlington, Va. She was selected from a slate of nominees during this trade association’s annual national convention in San Francisco this month. Other members of the council include legal, management, technology and education experts who tailor their services to the $500 billion global equipment leasing and finance industry.

(Virginia) Public Relations Society. The subject is "Crisis Communications
at the Community Level" and features speakers from the Red Cross
and the new VOAD (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster).

February 2001 — Susan Carol was elected president of the Fredericksburg Public Relations Society in February. Veronica Deschambault, a senior associate, was elected to the board of directors. The Fredericksburg organization's mission is to uphold the standards of the public relations profession, provide local networking and education. Susan helped to form the group 10 years ago. October 2000 — Relationship Exchanges…What Vendor Lessors Want In An Online Model, reported by Susan Carol, was published in the October convention issue of the Monitor, a Molloy Associates publication (www.monitordaily.com). October 2000 — Susan Carol recently presented with Inc. magazine's special section team at the ELA conference on their research findings covering leasing habits and interests of Inc. magazine's readers.
